We were recently in Texas for five days. Five days without Mia that is! This has been the longest we have been away from her and it was a bit difficult for mama. We attended a good friend’s (Tim Kirchner) wedding in Austin where we spent most of our time and then we did a little side trip to San Antonio. We were so busy from start to finish of our trip and definitely took advantage of packing our days full, traveling without the kiddo. We really liked both cities but enjoyed San Antonio the most. I was surprised at how big Austin was and yet how easy it was to drive around downtown to get from place to place. Not at all like San Francisco. San Antonio felt more quaint to me with all the cobble stone streets and Tim loved the architecture of San Antonio as well. If we don’t eat BBQ or Tex Mex for quite a while I would be quite happy. The weather was in the 80’s and was super muggy the first few days we were there. I really liked the change and it felt like summertime again. There was no need for a jacket even late at night. The last few days we were there the temperature never even hit 50. Crazy extreme! Here are the highlights:

The first step was to drop these sleepyheads off at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Mia of course got really sick before we left with a high fever, cold, and cough.
